Asian shares slip amid China worries and oil price drop

Asian shares opened lower on Thursday, amid the continual decline in global oil prices and China's volatile financial market.
Korea's benchmark KOSPI fell zero-point-nine-seven percent within the first fifteen minutes of the session... and at 11:50 a.m., the index was trading one-point-three-five percent lower than the day before.
Japan's Nikkei shed as much as four percent in the morning, the steepest drop since September.
The Shanghai index slipped further on Thursday, down two-point-six percent at its opening, as Brent crude dropped below thirty U.S. dollars a barrel for the first time since 2004.
The losses follow Wednesday's drop in Chinese shares, with the Shanghai Composite Index dipping below the three-thousand mark for the first time in five months.
