Styles change for one reason and only one reason, to keep us buying and spending. So wear what you like, and what looks good on you. Forget the fashion and branding money pit!

As a short girl, I disagree with many of the things you’re saying. These trends would make me look horrible. I am sticking with what I like no matter what anybody thinks.

Skinny jeans are never going out for me. In the Northeast, it makes sense when wearing boots to not have extra material to shove into a boot. There are so many jean styles nothing should be "dated". Its the tops that make the look to me.

For petite women boyfriend blazers can be too long … so the shorter jackets work better for shorter torsos …. Skinny Jean are still “in” because of the tall boots … bottom line - find what works for you … keep it classy and you do you 😊

Being fashionable is finding a style that fits our bodies. For example: my body type does not look good in boyfriend jeans, so Skinny jeans and straight cut are my jam 💕

Honestly 2022 - anything goes. There are no rules anymore. People have hair every color of the rainbow, high waters, ill fitting jeans, clunky tennis shoes and granny glasses are in fashion now - I honestly just don’t think there are rules anymore for anything 🤷‍♀️.

Remember when people made fun of mom jeans - and now they're back! This is why I stick to classics and even some vintage, as long as it looks good on me. I wear hats to church even if no one else does because that's who I am and I own it. I also LOVE wool capes (not ponchos) and I feel elegant and beautiful wearing them - even if I don't see anyone else wearing them. At age 66, the time has come to dress true to my style and personality. I LOVE your videos, Shea. You provide valuable information that's good to know - whether we follow trends or not.

I’m actually shocked. I usually agree with like everything she says.. I agree with most BUT I think thigh highs and ponchos/wraps are the easiest way to dress up a bland outfit when it’s cold outside. I think ponchos are elegant (if you get the right one and accessories properly).

Side note: anyone else think it’s weird that designers pledge to stop making fur items but still produce leather and suede? Literally every gen z owns doc martins, which just goes to show how leather is still very prominent in the fashion industry and it’s the same concept.

I get it that cropped and tight shirts under boyfriend jackets or shirts are in style. But for those of us with a middle that doesn’t allow for a crop top, or an oversized jacket only adds to our already oversized silhouette, what do you recommend? I’d love to hear some ideas that accommodate the average figure.

I don't care what is in it what's out. If I still like it, I'll wear it.

I gave up on the whole trend thing a while back, and I'm glad I did. First they wanted us to wear puffed sleeved prairie dresses like we were in an 80s cult, and now we're supposed to look like homeless teens from the 90s. Already been there and done that. Just going to stick with what I love instead..

I look at these videos and I always try to remember what I like, what I'm happy and feel good in and that I cannot afford to throw out all my clothes because someone on the internet said it's out of date or style etc.

Great video. Here in London, tall boots - and over the knee boots - are quite popular. Fake fur is always in here, too. ✌🏼

How about we all wear what we like and actually flatters us! Stop buying into the fashion machine. Uniqueness makes the world go round!

It’s sad that people choose to wear things depending upon what strangers think. That something is “out” as of 5 or 6 years ago. When are we going to simply feel that everyone is “in style” when they are clean and confident and happy with his or herself?

Can you do a trendy office wear video. I’m struggling to “dress up” these trends- such as the straight leg pants, cropped shirts, etc.

Agree with you on most. The large blazers look sloppy, like you are wearing your Dad’s musty old blazer. Ponchos can go either way but the faux fur vest is very in right now! And for the love of god the light wash baggy jeans look terrible. On everyone. And we all know it if we’re being honest. A fitted, skinny bootcut is where it’s at. 😁

Honestly, the whole skinny/loose jean thing is so silly. It’s so much more important to wear something you feel good in. Something that flatters you and makes you feel great. Trends come and go and they’re all about companies making money.
And as a 40 year old woman, those loose fitting jeans that are so fashionable now, well, they’re 20 years old. They’re not new.
I still enjoy these videos though, don’t get me wrong. But I’m rooting for 2022 to be the year where anything goes.

I might agree with everything else but when It comes to crop tops, there’s an age limit for that most definitely. That would look cheap and trashy on older women

---as a senior citizen who has to wear orthopedic shoes with a foot brace, I have a closet full of basic styles and can only wear one shoe. I place my emphasis above the shoulders, to draw your eyes up away from the feet. I have a well-developed sense of style and when my health permits, I will wear stylish shoes.
