The Afterglow of the Big Bang: The Cosmic Microwave Background

Показать описание
The Cosmic Microwave Background [CMB] is the oldest light in the universe that we can see or detect. It was emitted only 380,000 years after the universe was born, back when it was a much less peaceful place. The microwave-band static is fundamentally linked to the Big Bang, and if we map it precisely enough, we can discover a wealth of information about the age, composition and structure of the universe.

“From nano metres to light years in microseconds”

That… scares the shit out of me for some reason… the sheer power of that. Wow.

What I love about this channel, which I discovered recently, is that it's not just Wikipedia + space visuals, it has this unique existential vibe, much like watching 2001: Space Odyssey.

when i learned about static’s origin as a kid i’d leave the tv on the un-tuned channel because i thought it was very cool

Honestly dude your videos are spectacular. Not to mention how incredibly well researched they are, but still keeping that wonder and intrigue at the same time is brilliant. Thanks so much man

I am working at an airport, and every time I have to work at night I am listening to this channel while driving, so peaceful and beautiful. Also, I like watching stars at night with friends, and sometimes I play these videos and they love it, or I watch them after I watched stars with my friends. This channel reminds me of how little time we actually have, so we have make our lives something special. Thanks SEA for doing this❤

This is one of the few channels I press the "like" button on, before even having watched the video.

It feels like christmas every time you upload a new video. Thanks for your effort, SEA <3

When I eventually die, I just want to soar around the universe forever. I want to see everything without bothering anyone or anyone bothering me. Just soar and soak in everything. Even at its worst and most destructive, the universe is still beautiful and perfect.

hats off to you for adapting to this channel's viewership. with newer videos, i could not imagine a better style of youtube films to doze off into the realm of peaceful sleep. it does so in as perfect of a way as is possible, and i find myself rewatching the older entries on this channel simply because i became so invested in hearing about the cosmos from SEA's signature narration - lulling, yet clearly pronounced. hats off

Absolutely brilliant video. This is the best channel I have ever come across. Thank you for these masterful videos man.
As soon as I am financially stable again I'll become a SEA Squad Member and donate extra per video because this content is just too well produced to be watched for free in my opinion.
