Thank you Eric, dragging the url to the folder allows me to save the same url in multiple folders. I could not do this with the star method. Solved an issue that was slowing me down at work. Thank you!!

You can also right click the folder and click add page, this will add the current page to your folder.

AWESOME about saving bookmarks directly to a folder vs. the star method. AND OMG, I didn't know I could search my more than 500+ bookmarked pages. SOOOO easy and means I can actually use pages I saved but forgot I'd marked!! Thank you!!

I'm going to check out your other tutorials for an answer to the following question, so if you've covered it, I'll find it. However, is there a way to change the folder selection in the drop down menu when you use the star for bookmarking? When I click the star, it pops up with the Edit bookmark dropdown, and then folders showing beneath it, plus the More button. I want to change the folder selection beneath the bookmark name, right now it's showing OLD folders that I don't save to. While I like the method you show here, it would be great to be able to modify the folders in that dropdown box if I'm saving a ton of links into the same folder over and over again. E.g. I'm planning a trip to Europe, and working my way through walking tours I'm building. I'm saving link after link into say "Italy Walking Tours" folder. The way demonstrated here does remove a step for selecting a folder when using the star, but if I could change the bloody save to folders in the bookmark star's dropdown menu, that would be just as awesome as the tip here. Sorry for the lengthy comment, I'm just really frustrated to keep seeing Excel Tip folder as the first one in that dropdown. Grrrr. Thanks again for a wonderful video. That search feature is incredible!!!

I may have missed this? How do I organize what is inside a folder into alphabetical order? Stuff in folders is in no particular order & makes stuff hard to find.

How about in the google drive. Theres a lot of files in 1 folder of the drive and i want them to save in 1 bookmark folder. Should i open each file and drag the website to the folder or there's a shortcut for that?

Unfortunately this is now obsolete as recent Chrome versions like 123, locked bookmark folders to the very right or very bottom of the bookmark list with no way to move them. I have thousands of bookmarks and not being able to put folders at the top makes them useless.

I've been trying to find a way to change the folder into an emoji. I have several folders in my bookmark bar but they all look the same, so I can't take the name out. Is there a way to change it so your folder can be an emoji or icon? I tried to change the name of folder into an emoji but it still shows the picture of a folder, then the emoji. Can you help please.

Once you have created the folder named "Jamboard", you really don't need the yellow folder icon. All you need is the word, "Jamboard". Right? How the heck do you get rid of the space-taking yellow folder? Over half of my bookmarks bar is taken up by such folders from websites that do not have favicons or by the folders I create.

Very helpful for those unfamiliar with adding folders to the toolbar. However, a line of those yellow folders across my toolbar is unsightly aesthetically and they're distracting because of their brightness. You would think these browser creators could come up with a way for for us to color coat these ugly yellow folders by now.
