Ok what you did, you did well.
The mobility scooter motor did look rough but it's likely that it was still able to function. I do like the hover board motors, they are efficient and hold up well from what I've seen. On the other hand the motor(s) and gear setups in the mobility scooters are on another level of durable function made to not break easily for a long time. As medical devices with functions must be dependable.
What really makes the mobility scooters motor and gear setups put the hover board motors to be child's play in comparison is the amount of torque they have. If you have the battery power you can push/pull a a car/truck up a hill... At least until the incline becomes to much for the scooter to keep traction because it's not heavy enough. So you might get pulled/pushed back down the hill but the wheels will continue to turn.
I just wanted you to know that if you haven't figured it out already. Have a good day and thank you for sharing what you did.

Hi, great build! Would you mind sharing the code you used? I specially like the boost mode! The 3D print is also a great idea! Keep up the good work.

a couple weeks ago i had come across the hoverboard hacks... havent gotten the rc hack to work quite yet... been using ebike controllers for now, made a razor scooter hoverwheel adaptation haha. Today i came across a mobility scooter someone threw to the curb... did not come with seat or batteries so when I got it home threw on the hoverboard battery on it and it runs, kid thought it was fun, im starting to wonder what the mobility scooter could be like with a more powerfull controller, battery set up on it haha. sorry for the randumb ramble but nice work, seems to reflect what im getting myself into haha... those larger hoverboard wheels are wild!

Hi! sorry to bother you, can you help me with this question? is it absolutely necesary to use an arduino for the firmware of the bobby car? Can i just upload the firmware via st v2 and get the differents modes? Thanks again and amazing video!

Hi. How did this project ultimately turn out? Cant seem to find the next video. Cheers for sharing. This is perfect info for me who wants to build a scooter. ❤ Were you able to share the firmware that you had? Made any changes sense this one?

Whats your suggestion for an emergency stop ? Disconnect the battery ? Would that kill the board ?

Thanks for posting this!, What values did you use for the pots? 10k? also is the wiring of the pots, the same as in your #2 original video.

I wanted to build a 2wd scooter with the original hoverboard motherboard, would this firmware work? do you have any other recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Hi, is there any wiring diagrams, and what software is needed

NO CODE NEEDED!!!! SIMPLY REMOVE EACH GYRO BOARD ON EACH SIDE, MAKE A PLATFORM FOR THEM TO MOUNT ON NEXT TO EACHOTHER, AND A SIMPLY THROTTLE CABLE CAN CHANGE THE TILT ANGLE ON THE PLATFORM!!!

Do you think it would be possible to use a controller like the 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator to use with a set up like this? Im still planning my mini wheelchair build and Im still undecided about my input device.

I have 4 hoverboard wheels and old shop rider scooter and a few nanos and 5 PWM DC 12V-36V 500W Brushless Motor Speed Controller Switch Driver Board, so I'm thinking to build one of these using what I have, any help or ideas please

I am trying to follow your way and even got one scooter today that seems to be the same brand but may be not a Plus version. Can I ask some questions about what have you used in general to do this project? My scooter motor is ok so I guess I can use it without spending any extra on hoverboard wheels. Would you mind providing your email or direct me to a blog with this build(if you have any)?

Hi I have converted a ninebot mini pro and fitted a seat as I can’t walk very far it works great but if I mount a kerb or ramp and one wheel grips but the other wheel slips it spins very fast making it think I am going over the safe speed(if I was standing on it) it then violently throws me back making me go straight onto my back hitting my head on the ground!! If I could disable the feature or say increase the max speed limit to the max It would stop this happenings would prefer to just cut a wire coming from a sensor to permanently disable it but if it can be reprogrammed that is ok, it would really great if you can help or put me in touch with someone I don’t mind paying to get this problem sorted thanks

Thanks for a brilliant video! I'm going to try to "upgrade" my mobility scooter in a similar way. Do you know of any ready made throttles(?) for forward and reverse, since I don't have a 3d printer? I'm guessing it's impossible to reuse the ones on the scooter today, since it's only one motor controlled by one pot. Also, and you might have said this, which arduino are you using for this project?
Would it be possible to receive your files for this project?
I've watched this video over and over trying to get all the information, but unfortunately my mind doesn't work as well anymore since I became ill. So I'm sorry if I'm asking something really obvious. Thanks!
