I think Real Madrid are being overlooked. They missed out on Mbappé, but I think that will actually benefit them this summer. They've already signed Rüdiger on a free, they've got Tchouameni, they trimmed the wage bill significantly by letting Isco, Bale, Marcelo go. I think they're doing pretty well so far

Newcastle and Aston Villa have had the best window so far. Newcastle signing one of the best shot stoppers in the league for £8m as well as one of the most exciting centre backs in Europe, Sven Botman. Aston Villa signing Coutinho on the cheap, Kamara on a free (albeit on pretty massive wages) and Diego Carlos (part of one of the best defences in europe last season).

Perisic may be 33 but it didn't stop him getting 10 goals and 9 assists last season.

People who don't watch Bayern every week need to know that Gnabry hasn't been good since 2020. Yes he has contributed goals but they have been pretty meaningless goals in big victories. When it comes to what he offers on the pitch there really isn't much. Doesn't dribble or create and seems to have lost his place. As a Bayern fan I hope he is sold this summer

Thanks for covering Saints. We definitely need a striker/number 10 as well but goalkeeper was definitely our number 1 priority and i'm glad it was the first thing we got done. McCarthy has been rubbish for about a year now - Bazunu should have no problem getting the number 1 jersey

Arsenal and Spurs get all the hype at the moment but City surely? Haaland (for a good price), Alvarez (his loan cut short for additional 1.5M), Ortega a good backup keeper to keep Ederson competitive for free, Kalvin Phillips for 42M (3M addons) when they only had Rodri before since Fernandinho left, probably will get Cucurella as well for around 40-50M.

City so far for me with Phillips and Haaland. When the window is closed I think Chelsea will be the most active club now new roles have been appointed. Interesting to see what Spurs do too and if Arsenal get Raphina.
