New Zealand reggae kings KATCHAFIRE do not put out music regularly, in fact their last studio album was seven years ago but the wait is over and it was truly worth it! A brand new single “Addicted” has been released to the world ahead of a new album amidst their 20 year anniversary “Legacy Tour”.

“Addicted” is available on iTunes, Spotify etc with a groovy new video shot in NZ & produced by Damien Nikora on YouTube.

Changes in the line-up since the last album has seen the band stepping into some experimental and fusion styles of Reggae Music, and they are currently putting the finishing touches on their 5th studio album (due out Feb 2018 via Zojak World Wide & Universal NZ) collaborating with a number of renown Jamaican engineers, producers, musicians and artists including Clive Hunt, Colin “Bulby” York, Stephen “DubKlaat Rev” Maxwell, Kirk “Kirkledove” Bennett, Unga Baurnga/Notis, Garth “Ducky” Forrester, Conrad Scarlett, Roland McDermott and more.

With four highly successful studio albums already under their belts, multiple awards, platinum sales, high selling singles, and a massive worldwide fanbase, KATCHAFIRE has crafted a universal vibe with their sound being built on the foundations of classic roots reggae, RnB, funk, modern dancehall and slinky reggae pop, and they are excited to be unleashing some new music on the world.
