Shapley values are a fair way to divide the value of a game amongst its players. We explain the mathematics behind the Shapley value formula. To understand why it is fair, we also discuss the Shapley value axioms that the formula is derived from. The formula may seem scary but you will find it has an intuitive explanation.

Hi. Could you please clarify if the model that is given as input to SHAP is built for each possible combination of n features? Say n=3, will the model experiment using several combimations of 3 features and the calculate the values/output value for each case?

incorrect explanations, that's not what actually happens under the hood for SHAP library. This is the general explanation. I am looking for library specific implementation of SHAP. How do they find out SHAP for individual and per instance SHAP values. Because SHAP library calculated instance specific SHAP and then average it all. This is not correct what you explained for specific library
