Let us assume you are not the legal owner of property (like land or a car), but you wish to transfer it to someone. Say it was just given to you, or you bought it from someone who was not registered on the property. What does the law say about this?

If a person impersonates i.e he is an agent of a certain company and I unknowingly enter into a contract with him, later discovering that he was impersonating, can the contract still be valid? If not, what can I do? Is it a total loss?
