To let you know, Ewoks wouldn't eat humans. It's ancient tribe mentality, especially for shamans, to say whatever protects the tribe from outsiders. This means saying things that aren't true, or requiring them to perform a ritual to gain trust. I do this a lot when I meet strangers.
