Ireland have always done poorly in pre world cup games. It is important that Ireland win playing well .. otherwise it will look like, even with a second choice team, that Ireland have got the build up wrong again . Ireland need to test all returning injured players to the utmost especially Tadgh Furlong who is an important player but if his injury goes again will put pressure on to get cohesion in the scrum in the world cup games . Ireland feed off Momentum and confidence and hopefully this team will kick start it . Crowley has to be played as if he is number one . Ross Byrne is a good player but Crowley has proven he has the mental strength for the big championship pressure moments in games . The set piece is absolutely crucial. As you progress through the world cup it comes down to penalties from scrums, collapsing mauls and one or two chances . So it is vital that Ireland win playing well with the scrum, line-out and tempo all looking in tune . Come on Ireland 🇮🇪
