Don’t be afraid of using the nipple shield if you need to. I used it for 5 months with my 3rd son and then he latched without it. I was afraid of using it long term with my previous two and ended up exclusively pumping for both of them. The nipple shield saved my nursing journey with my 3rd. We breastfed until he was almost 2 and he weaned himself.
