Tonal Energy - Tuning App for Musicians

I spent years using my Android phone without a tuning app. I always carried my physical tuner in my viola case, so it wasn't too much of an issue. However, I recently found that Tonal Energy is the best tuning app for Android! (And it's available on iOS!)

This app is great! Definitely the most reliable phone tuner I've ever used 😄 I hope the dev can modernize the look without changing the layout too much 🤞🏻

Love, just love using the app, but I still can't get my head around microphone/quavers (eighth notes for 'Muricans) button and what it does, but your quick precis at least gave me an idea what to look for in the manual. And speaking of the manual it's the one thing that is severely bad for the TE Tuner - it has zero illustrations/screenshots which severely limits its usefulness.
EDITED TO ADD: Turns out it's "Auto Reference Notes" like how the F were we supposed to know that without any screenshots (sorry, aimed at the developers, not you at all).
