Never leave heaters on unattended so getting them to turn on before you arrive home is not a good idea. Home automation is great but please do a risk assesment before every application

Not that I disagree that vampire power is a problem, but it does cost some money to run the smart plug. To be honest I don't know what the power draw is, but I am curious if it better to put a smart plug on a TV and prevent it from running in standby mode. I am curious what you think.

They are all great suggestions apart from number 9, don't do number 9 it's extremely unsafe. Never leave cooking equipment unattended.
