Presidential alert test works for some, not for others

FEMA is calling its first test of the new presidential alert system a success. The mass cell phone blast went out at 2:18 p.m. ET Wednesday. The presidential alert is meant for extreme circumstances like terror attacks or tsunamis. But the test wasn't perfect. Anna Werner reports.

It was literally just a test to see if the alert system was working just Incase there was a national emergency. I don’t see what the problem is. Plus it even isn’t the president who texts you, it’s a automated system, the president just gives the go ahead to send it out.

It messed up my phone. I was on a phone call and after the alert was over the call kept hanging up over and over again I had to restart my phone

I was listening to some sonic the hedgehog chiptune music when i got the alert, i had my phone in my pocket at the time and i thought that beeping sound was part of the music, i took my phone out of my pocket after 30 minutes and i found out i got the alert sent to my phone three times, long story short it was annoying and i hated that fr3aking noise, smh -_-

We have to understand that the National broadcast system is outdated. Less people watch tv than back when it was first introduced. This new alert system is just the update version, at least how I see it that is

So nobody remembers the same texts going out the last few years? Its tested regularly, you've got them before you know...
