The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Lisbon!

Today the host city for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal was announced. The contest will take place on 8, 10 and 12 May 2018 in Portugal's capital Lisbon.

This video made my crying. I visited Portugal one week ago, Porto + Lisboa for 10 days and it was fantastic. One of the most beautiful country in the world and the most unique and interesting country in Europe. Everyone should visit it to fully understand this uniqueness. Portugall will be always in my heart. PS: I'm from Russia.

I knew Portugal will present itself with an alternative feel. Having both a creative culture that embraces modern and traditional, they impressed and excelled themselves as hosts for Expo 1998 and Euro 2004, so why not Eurovision? Lisbon will be an exceptional Eurovision venue for sure. Go Lisboa!!!!

The song in this video is a remix made by the Portuguese group BEATBOMBERS. The original track is a huge Portuguese classic named VERDES ANOS from CARLOS PAREDES. The instrument is the famous PORTUGUESE GUITAR hugely used in FADO music.
