My science teacher in 7th grade was actually qualified for being an astronaut. She said that she had to go through really weird training, like having to go in a low oxygen environment to see how well she would keep functioning.

And also it's not just about qualifications, it's also about job requiremets in the contract:
You can't just skip over one of them and shout "discrimination" because you don't want to fully do the job as per contract. Then I could scream "discrimination" if my boss fires me from my job as a receptionist because I refuse to answer the phone "on principle".

For years whenever I've complained that my job has inhuman working conditions or predatory labor laws, I've been told to just "move along" and get a different job. These are the same people currently complaining about vaccine mandates. Safe to say that I'm not very sympathetic.
