SCP-150 - Body Stealing Parasite - Ship of Theseus

SCP 150 is a KETER Class anomaly also known as Ship of Theseus.

SCP-150 is an obligate parasite that resembles the tongue-eating louse (Cymothoa exigua), but is adapted to form conjunctive symbiotic relationships with humans for a period of its lifespan. Upon contact with a human subject, SCP 150 embeds itself deeply in the flesh of its host. Over the course of approximately seven days, the parasite will burrow into the host and affect numerous physiological alterations.

Although SCP150 inevitably results in the assimilation and alteration of the central nervous system, including the spinal cord and brain, the host's consciousness and behavior are seemingly unaffected. Interviews with subjects infected by SCP-150 have yielded little information, as infected subjects unaware of SCP-150 claim to sense no changes or improvement in certain senses and faculties. While subjects aware of the infection are able to pinpoint the source of the change, they exhibit little to no negative feelings and often express positivity towards it.

What about the SCP- creature that is always behind you?
There's a creature that is always behind you, but you can't see it, no matter how many mirrors is around you, you still can't see it.
When it communicates with you, it's like a voice inside your head or when a person talks behind you.
The creature is not invicible, it's just always behind you. It moves from person to person, like a parasite moving to a new host, driving it's host to madness.

No pain, a hardened body, potentially massively extended lifespan, and I remain completely myself the entire time?

Honestly, a pretty enticing offer. I'd be worried about whether I'd still be able to play guitar with the insect arms though - and if the answer is no, that's a dealbreaker for me (though with such a long lifespan perhaps I'd have time to work around that).

Sounds like even if the whole world was infected we'd probably mostly just continue on as usual. Hardly a game ender for us - although, If there's no regular humans left to reproduce, then there's no new hosts for the parasites, which could potentially end us (but again, with such long lifespans, we'd have the time to work around this - perhaps mechanical incubators to grow humans artificially before infection?)

Also, I have to wonder what happens if a child or adolescent human is infected. Do they remain child-sized forever? What about standard human brain development? Would they be stuck with the mind of a child forever?
