*What do you think about UBER/Cruise and the whole Robotaxi thing?*

Saw your tweet about $OPEN. Would really appreciate covering Opendoor in one of your videos. Would be nice to see their current status. Seems like a good opportunity with rate cuts. Thank you.

I completely agree with you… even if Tesla get their ride share up and running, the market cap for Uber is just $90+ billion that even not enough with tesla current market growth… I’m with you on the semi truck and energy storage, they can grow a ton

Going from point A to B in cheaper way….
Not only that. If I can get a ride with no driver, it’s definitely “YES”
for me. With so many driver not trustworthy in now days, I would feel much safer taking a ride with Robo taxi.

You missed one critical factor about the Tesla FSD and robotaxi’s competitors Waymo and Cruise . They are geofenced. They are limited to where they are programmed for. Example. In the San Francisco Bay Area they can only operate in San Francisco City proper. These vehicles also cannot handle road construction, street events, …
Tesla’s FSD and robotaxi’s can operate anywhere in the world in any conditions a human driver can and more safely using little more than 8 camera’s and an Ai computer, while the other vehicles require literally hundreds of dollars in sensors and equipment.
Tesla has over 5 million vehicles WORLDWIDE driving over a million miles a day sending ONLY edge cases and intervention driving info from top end rated drivers ( mostly selected out of Tesla insurance) sending information daily over home WiFi back to Tesla teaching the system how to drive. Those 5 million plus cars worldwide all have Tesla’s FSD hardware and can easily be software upgraded to full autonomy.
Somewhere in there Tesla has a huge mote. I’ll let you figure it out. I think it’s data for AI.

Fact is no other business is going to simply give Tesla free reign over the car and tech markets...they will want a piece of the action and if they can make life difficult for Tesla, they will eagerly do so.

I've heard institutional investors now own more than 50% of Tesla stock and that Elon may have to sell Tesla stock to prop up Twitter. Take this info for what it is worth...

when the big boys wake up to EV's, tesla will have another thing coming. On the other hand, the stock is certainly not looking at tesla as a car brand ... is it? So why the hell does it react so much at car sales? Meme stock? :)

As someone that doesn’t own a Tesla let me tell you why I’m not excited about owning a Tesla. If you showed me a Tesla from 2015 vs 2024, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. The brand is in need of a refresh.

BMW sold 7009 PHEV + 8503 BEV, Tesla sold 14238 BEV. But still BMW is rising in Europe and Tesla is declining (-16%). I guess the reason ist, that there are negativ articles about Elon Musk almost every day in Europe. Also there was a big debate that German Companies ( f.e. Rossmann) stop buying Teslas for their fleet because of Elon Musks political orientation the last years. For people that are not doing active research its hard to hear anything(!) positive about Tesla.

BMW has sold more EV's then Tesla, but only in the month of July.
BMW sold 14.869 evs. Tesla 300 pieces less. So marginal difference
