I Used Vim For 6 Months, Here's How It Went

I used Vim (well, Neovim) for 6 months and will keep using it for a while. It's a ton of fun to use, it makes me feel super fast, and I get to say, "I use Vim BTW." On a serious note, though, try vim out. You might like it! At the time of this video, I said I was using the Astronvim setup, but since then, I've built my own config with the help of some YouTube tutorials.

In terms of fun... It's not especially when it comes to configuration and learning inconsistent arbitrary keybindings. In terms of speed it stayed the same since I'm used vs code shortcuts like alt+shift arrow to duplicate a line and so on and they are much easier. Now in terms of extensions, debugging and so on, vscode was also much better. Overall, Vim sucks a$$. It's safely to say that it's an outdated editor that gets in the way of thinking about actual programming to thinking about all the things we take for granted and expect from a modern IDE.
