Retro 8mm Film Grain Overlay

This is file #16 from our Super 8mm Film Grain Collection.

This bundle contains a wide variety of film textures that were created with vintage film (Kodachrome) and retro super 8 mm cameras (Sankyo and Bell & Howell).

The experiment consisted of filming different coloured cardboards under different light conditions.

The film cartridges were sent in a film lab and the processed film was then scanned in high resolution.

Some film rolls were digitized at 18 frame per second and the others at 24fps. These are the two standard frame rates used for super 8mm.

The result is a huge variation of film textures with different nuances of color and grain.

These super 8 film files were made to be used as overlays to apply over your digital footage.
