Thank you for taking the time to:
1. Actually *read* Project 2025
2. Dissect it for us.
3. Explain it to those of us that haven’t read it.
Truly appreciated, gentlemen!

Alastair has read the whole 2025 document. SO WE DON'T HAVE TO. Thank you, mate.

It's really nice have these two in the same room and looking at each other instead of their phones. More of a proper conversation.

I really enjoy The Rest is Politics UK and US and appreciate enormously the extent and depth of knowledge, perception and history of all four contributors. Particularly at this moment in US politics which has great impact on us all. Thankyou sincerely Alastair, Rory, Katy and Anthony and not forgetting Gary Lineker for starting it off. Jenny M.

This is such an addictive podcast. The best part is how much fun you both seem to be having. I’m American and British and have lived in India for the past 43 years. Your analysis is instructive for all three of these crazy, different countries.

They're also blaming things that private individuals and organizations choose to do on the government. People a free to choose to be a drag queen or not. The government isn't responsible for that one way or the other. It's a matter of people having freedom.
As far as the "administrative state", it operates within laws written by congress under the leadership of the president. What they want to do is negate the ability of congress to create laws and allow the president to run things with no laws.

Economics are killing the family. Back in the 50s/60s/70s a family could buy a home and survive on one wage with a reasonable standard of living. Now, few people can afford a home and both people in a relationship are forced to work out of economic necessity and children would be a massive drain on their finances.

From a listener in the USA- It’s great to hear your perspectives on the DNC! I come from a family of teachers, and the situation with public schools here is very, very complicated. Wealthier districts attract better teachers and boast very fine facilities, smaller class sizes, and free laptops for every student. Poorer districts in the South can’t afford air conditioning or adequate textbooks, and many students don’t have internet access at home. Where I grew up, one school district had a state-of-the-art language lab, while a nearby district’s language equipment consisted of a twenty-year-old cassette tape player. Many educators and parents feel that the excessive standardized testing has been far too costly and has had a detrimental effect on student performance.

As an American born British woman, I'm grateful for your insight and clarity on the waining of "America first" mentality to an international sensibility you picked up in President Bidens' speech.

As an artist working globally, i think we all have more in common than what divides us. I was delighted to hear that within the philosophy of Ms Harris' approach to inspire a higher way forward.

Love the decor in this one, best presentation background so far! (Better than the blue bed!)

I'm interested that you mention Peter Navarro as author of the one Trade section of Project 2025.

He's just had 4 months in prison for Contempt of Congress, for refusing to supply information about the January 6th insurrection and testify before it.

Rorys observation about not seeing any of the stuff that animates people on social media in daily life was spot on. It’s all about what fires people up and mobilises people to vote.

Comparing project 25 with the daily mail. Very funny!😂

Have to agree with Rory on AOC. When I saw her speech I couldn't help but think she will be president one day.

Id like to see Rory teach in an inner city Chicago (or London) school and see how long he lasts. Nice bloke but its a tough job.

How is it a document of liberty and freedom when it aims to tell people what to do and how to reproduce? I'm confused.
