So good. Too much emphasis in the Christian world today about destiny, dream, and purpose. It’s dangled in front of listeners like a carrot in front of a horse….like a destination we can never get to. It’s so about Jesus. He is our dream, purpose, and destiny. And when he is our focus, we often find ourselves in the middle of what He wants us to be doing.

The Lord is using this conversation to explain something he told me a couple weeks ago - that he’s taking me back to 2007. I was in such a deep relationship with Him then, and then the cares of life came in and distracted me. I almost fell away but Rita’s song defender and really even Steffany’s worship pulled me back to Him. 🥹 Thank you for this!

That was I think the first way that I would hear from the Lord when I was a little kid. When I lost something I would sit on my couch in the living room, close my eyes, and ask God to either tell me where something was, or show me in my mind. When my dad would ask me to help him find something like a file folder, I would go into the living room and sit on the couch and close my eyes. When he saw me do that, he said, I asked you to help me find it, what are you doing? And I told him I see a picture in my mind of it on the ground in your car behind the driver seat. He went outside and got it. That’s where it was. He asked me how I did it, and I said, I just asked God, I don’t know where your file folder is, but God does.

Jesus is the prize!!! This is what I declare when the pressures of a “calling” tries to creep. “One thing I ask of the the Lord this only do I seek that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and seek him in his temple. -Psalm 27:4 I say it so often I want it to be my testimony!!!

Jesus IS the dream! God revealed to me that I had many old dreams and plans of my own that stood in the way of His perfect plans for me. I got rid of all of my belongings that held those dreams & plans in place and found a new level of freedom - I found more space for His fullness and His direction.
