I've used the Double Muff loads in a band, and you've got it exactly right- it has shit loads of mids so you'll cut through like anything. And theres loads of volume on tap too!

I use the overdrive as my clean and the big muff as full distortion in combination with the two.

Have you ever used the Muff Overdrive in a band/live situation? I've played and ordered one yesterday because it sounded full of mids to my ear, and that surely uses to cut through the mix. It's hard to tell without indeed testing the pedal with all your band playing, so I've been just trying over and over again. Cheers!

@ChickenFaeces Thanks, glad to hear it!
It will probably sound pretty good on a Fender amp (I'm guessing that its got a pretty good clean channel). In my experience with the pedal, the better the clean generally the better the sound (I'll add this to my review, makes a lot of sense!) It might sound quite bright though so keep your guitars tone control handy, but I'd definitely give it ago!

@ChickenFaeces I've written a really in depth review on my blog about the double muff (thepedalguru.co.uk)
In short- the Double Muff doesnt have the Bog Muff scoop, but that is a good thing if you like cutting through in a band. If its good enough for your primary dirt pedal really depends on your amp- it really sounds completely different on two different amps.

the double muff is more like an overdrive, its not compareable to a big muff pi, folks

I didn't remember the Double being so trebly, or the OD being so gainy. Must be quite the beast with Les Pauls.

The Double Muff has to be the first pedal in the chain otherwise it wiss sound as shitty trebly like here.
Other overdrives have to be placed after, this is an already well known fact.
