Real Madrid is a very mysterious team in the champions league. In the match you might outplay them, but somehow they just find a way. It'll be an interesting tie

I would've gone with Madrid winning really, many improved players since last year. But... Their defense has been a bit shaky with Alaba being out injured all season and still not at 100% Mendy out, and now Militao their best defender out in the first match i'd say City has a good chance.

I think city have a big chance this year, if Pep just zooms out and sees Madrid as the final then they are pretty much there. His downfall every year was overthinking in big games ie the final and semis. They just need to get the job done what ever way necessary and forget about performance or looking good because he’s always talking about how great his team’s performances has been in the CL.

Expect them to go through but would prefer a Madrid vs Milan derby. 21 titles between them. That would be a historic final and the final I want to see

😢🎉 That man is very correct, if City can concede less against Madrid they will go through cos City was eliminated last season not because they didn't scored but because their defense loss concentration at the later part of the second leg that see Madrid scored two goals in two minutes.hopefully they will go through this time around..good luck to them at the both leg🙏🙏💯

I can't see what happened last year with Real Madrid repeating itself because City this time around do have that main striker that can finish. I think City will go through and win the competition.

I remember he beat madrid with mistakes from varane 2 years ago, but still didn't get the title! So in his head once he beat real he'll win it!

I love the fact that he straight up does not consider the possibility of losing against Milan or Inter. Which is why, I firmly believe he will waste another year yet in the Champions League.

My humble analysis of MC and RM

What's going for RM:
- Stronger individual improvements compared to last year (Vini, Rody, Valverde, Camavinga, and Militao)
- Better coherence (less rotation) this year.
- Been there, done that mentality
- Stronger options on the bench with improved versions of Nacho and Asensio. Good defensive option with Rudiger
- La Liga is basically gone. So focused efforts on CL.

What's not going for RM:
- Weaker Carvajal (might be pivoting point). Somewhat weaker Benz and Kroos and Modric (just age factor).
- Shaky defense (Still and issue - only minor improvement from last year).
- Second match away.

Whats going for MC (not regular follower mind you - but from what I've seen and read so far):
- HAALLAAAAND of course.
- Revenge mode
- Second match at home

What's not going for MC:
-Threat of Haaland is better understood by opposing teams (explains drop in goals in recent matches). He's still as capable, but opposing teams are better at not giving him chances to begin with
- Shaky defense still (a lot worse than last year).
- Focus on Haaland has made them somewhat predictable and less creative up front (in comparison to last year).

I think RM are slightly better than last year collectively and on individual levels. While I think MC are slightly worse than last year in all departments except the front. It's a tough call. Neither should be too confident. I'd say it's about 50-55% for MC.

Pep Gaurdiola: “ before you had to beat Barcelona, now it’s Real Madrid” buddy it’s always been Real Madrid. Then, now, and forever. Barcelona lost in the Europa league.
