A year ago I started YouTube. Even in the 1 year of making videos, it amazes me and makes me proud how much better my lighting and editing has got. I’m no big shot YouTuber but at least I started. I’ve been to Moraine Lake. I’ve taken that picture and watching Peter McKinnon endorse an AI that ‘generated’ an image of a real lake hurts my heart.
What happened where all the big artists suddenly caved to the pressure and hopped on the AI hype train? AI is bullshit, it uses so much energy, it’s so expensive, and all to ‘generate’ somebody else’s picture of a lake. Pete I respect you, but I just don’t understand. Would you be open to making a video on this topic?

It’s also the aspect ratio, more cinematic just like the Hollywood anamorphic lenses! I find a like my photos more in a 2.35:1 ratio over a 4:3 or 16:9

Youtube is broken at a 0.57% watch rate to subcribers. Sad Peter is one of my favorites and has been for a long time. Just goes to show subs don't matter if no one watches.
