Adding vCenter VCSA as Identity source with Active Directory LDAP Integration
Integrating VMware vSphere with Active Directory
We have two ways to add Active Directory as an identity source.
Method 1. VCSA need to be domain join and needs a reboot then you can use the method 1 and add AD as identity source. - it should allow you to add users and groups from AD.

Like shown in the beginning of the session then in removed it to show the other way.

Method 2. No requirement for AD DOMAIN join for VCSA. We can add multiple AD as identity sources preferably good option in production to avoid single point of contact with only one AD DOMAIN CONTROLLER and when using this option you do not need any reboot.

Hi Ibrahim, I have some questions to AD and the permissions. 1. Why we need to se AD over LDAP and not direct to Win AD, when we have the AD controler as primary or main policy controler? 2. Can you explain the diference between the Win AD and the AD over LDAP options? 3. Why when I log over my local user account even I have set it as administrator doesnt have access to all settings from the vCenter? Thanks.

Hi Ibrahim Quaraishi, Thank you for the vsphere 7 stuff but I see you have the recordings till module 2 session7 only, Is that means you are working on other modules and will upload them every now and then? or I am missing the other videos etc, I wanted to complete the entire sessions In Sha Allah.
