I remember when Solforge was an online digital card game. Nice to see it made a comeback.

A single starter set is enough for 2 players and 12+ starting combinations. I think they key is not optimizing, but trying to win when working with non optization. A way to play is to play a set until tired of it, and get another deck to expand. One person can own all that is needed

Here is a big difference between Keyforge & Solforge that I see as a killer app for Solfoge .... same backs.

I played Solforge the video game a ton & loved it for what it was.

With Keyforge, when you got a broken or crap deck ... you were stuck.

With Solforge, for non-tournament play ... you really can customize your deck because the backs are all the same.

I can make my own decks and play with my kids.

In addition, Keyforge had the issue of complexity. I taught my kids at ages 7 to 9 yet know how more streamlined the mechanics of Solforge are.


P.S. Yes, you could use sleves with solid backs to customize a Keyforge deck, yet ... blah & the number of cards will start off simpler for Solforge.

The world collectable tends to kill my interest in most games these days. Tired of spending a small fortune to get a handful of cards when I could buy several games for the same price.

so basically they just keep fucking with us, making new shit with the same concepts, I wonder what richard garthfield gets out of this. I'm starting to think just screw all these damn card games, 2 year shelf life and done, and same could be said for magic, since you have to rotate your crap every 2 years to be competitive.
