So this worked for me:

Delete the entire folder "Call of Duty Modern Warfare" -> launch the game in protected-mode (safe mode).
After launching the game, I was able to change the graphics settings.

Deleting the folder and initiating repair mode didn't fix the issue for me. but this worked

Documents>CODmw> delete player folder. Then restart pc. Open blizzard scan and repair. Restart PC again. This has at least fixed my issue right now

Hi kids,
If you want to solve this error do the following. Go to ..\Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players and delete all folder. (this will delete all your config and shit not your account or profile), after that go where you have installed the game ex: games\Call of Duty Modern Warfare and keep only the folders: blizzardbrowser, blog_storage, data, main, xpak_cache and delete everything that is outside of these folders. Now go to battle.net - CoD Warzone - Options dropdown -> Scan & Repair. And this will fix that error and will let you navigate to graphics page in CoD.

I tried everything, but this is what finally worked. After starting warzone, press alt+enter until you are in windowed mode (not fullscreen), then try clicking on the graphics tab. Hope this helps!

What worked was the following:
remove Black Ops battle pass items. Do not use battle pass operators and remove weapon skins, reticles, pendants and stickers. There is no need to remove the weaponry from Black Ops.

So I tried everything else and this is the only thing that worked for me. If it means anything I'm running a GEFORCE RTX ASUS 2020 TI 11GB

1. Got into File Explore and open the Documents library.
2. Within Documents, you'll find the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or Warzone folder. Open the folder.
3. Once you're in, delete the entire Players folder and restart your PC.
4. Launch the game to see if the Fatal Error still persists or not.

I have the same issue, but I can still change the graphic settings through Nvidia Geforce Experience. I tried many solutions found on Internet but they just didn't work.

Its easy go to documents then delete ( Call of duty Modern Warfare ) File, ( This will let you edit the graphics settings ) but if you delete it , the settings will reset with itself so make sure you got a pictures of your own settings before doing that, after deleting the file, play the game and go into ( Safe Mode ) then you can go to graphics :)

Ok got this Problem fixed. For those Who failed with deleting players Folder. I tried it and it Did not work out. So instead i deleted the hole modern warfare Folder in DOCUMENTS, ohne to battle.net app repaired data and restarted game. This should solve the issue for most of you.
