It's such a shame this project never took off properly. It was really looking like this was going to be at least something that Redbull would experiment with but alas, we never got it. We can only hold onto hope maybe the next generation of rule changes may be a bit kinder to different engine variations.

I was worried about missing the roar of those V8s but I'm really loving the sound the TT V6 is making!

I'm so glad that this transition from a V8 to a V6 sounds so good. Much better than when F1 did it. In my opinion this thing sounds just as good as the old V8. I like it.

How good is the flutter when down shifting! A full on board lap would've been nice. Love watching Murph drive

Reminds me of the stock block Buicks that used to race in the Indy 500 up until 96. This V6 can growl! Love it!

Why are people so butthurt? Do people even realise their road going LS series is not the SB Chev the teams use? The chassis is not the chassis you drive on the road. These cars couldn't be further from the Holdens and Fords you actually drive.

I love watching drivers who left-foot brake. Takes me back to my karting days.

Most traditionalists in the Australian Supercar championship will always prefer the distinctive engine note of the V8 but this turbocharged V6 doesn't sound too bad. It is a much better sounding engine than the V6 in F1, which sounds like a turbocharged vacuum cleaner. Those engines may have seen technological advancements in fuel efficiency and technology, but they are harming the sport because they are far too complicated and expensive and have taken a huge part of the experience of an F1 weekend away from the fans, because the noise of the cars lacks considerably when compared to the likes of the magnificent V10 of between 1995-2005.

Ive owned both,  an R32 gtr and most recently a 06 R8, and at 26yrs old that twin turbo was a force to be reckoned with. This TT V6 sounds exciting and should have alot of potential.

Bring back series production cars, not million dollar prototypes.

Can’t remember if I made a comment on this but I was there for this lap and the car sounded amazing wish my sv6 could sound half this.

This thing sounds great. That turbo flutter just tops it off.

thank you for not adding any lame music to this clip. i think it sounds pretty radical for a V6....
