Haitian migrants undeterred as US begins removal flights

Hundreds of Haitians who had been hoping to find refuge in the US have been sent back home to Port-au-Prince.
The US is operating up to eight flights a day to send the migrants camped at a Texas town on the border with Mexico.
The remaining 12,000 Haitians say that their country’s political crisis and natural disasters have left their country uninhabitable.
Al Jazeera's John Holman reports from Acunya on Mexico's border with the United States.

Why does the United States owe them food, sanitary products etc.? I’m an American citizen and the government has never given me a thing. I ask all the ‘activists’, do you want to pay to support them? Middle class America can not

They are so undeterred, but fighting the corrupt system in their own country is out of the question for them.

I don't understand the expectations they seem to have. One guy he was interviewing was complaining about lack of supplies and accommodations at that "camp" under the bridge. What on earth were they expecting?

Guess who is responsible for this?

Michelle Bachelet, former Chilean president, now head of the UN Human rights commission, that allowed millions of Haitians illegally in to Chile as president, and then did not provide them immigration paperwork. She also pressured other South American countries in to letting them in, knowing full well these countries were not capable of handling such a large influx. There is complete silence out of her now, because she knows she caused this human tragedy.

They don’t give you anything”” but you didn’t tell anyone you were coming you just walked in and “”ok give me everything I need””

Why is nobody asking HOW the Haitians got to Mexico?
And why are our borders wide open UNTIL...Haitians try to come in?

Where do these people get the idea that they are entitled to free things when they come to America? Do they expect free things in their own country? If they did, maybe that's the reason their country failed in the first place.

This is an overwhelming amount of people. With more and more arriving by the day and more on the way. What exactly is the us supposed to do ? Just let everyone in ? That would be sheer chaos...and put them where exactly ? Whose gunna feed them, clothe the, house them ? ... maybe they should house our homeless first.

I'm sorry but we already have enough problems here in the United States we don't need no more problems.

We can't fix the entire world. Who will pay for their housing, food, medical and training once beginning their integration to an English speaking culture and workplace. This is an unfair burden to the American taxpayer who would see no return on this type of funding and who would rightly criticize the US for raising Haitians up from poverty while at the same time leaving poor Americans behind to to fend for themselves. I agree with the other posts that identify the need to look to our own back yard "first", if after that there are resources left over, then look to helping friendly neighbouring countries.

Millions of South Americans get a path to citizenship. But a few thousand Hattians get a plane home. Amazing contrast.

I get things are bad in Haiti but so are things in 58 %of the world. It feels unfair to blame the Americans for deportation they have to protect their people especially with this pandemic where will they go many have lost their jobs as is .

I can feel bad for these people and at the same time want them to go back where they came from! No more illegal entry into this country! It's not a free-for-all.

Sadly the west and a handful of east Asian nations simply cannot take in the entire third world. The real question is can these nations be helped so people don't try to invade the west.

There is a reason countries have borders and immigration laws and procedures .
Being from poor country does not make if a free for all.

This is not true, they have food, clothes, water medicine, ambulance coming and get to give them what they need. I know this because I live here in Del Rio churches have getting together to put food for them and everything else what is happening is that they don’t like the food they complain because they are not getting the food they want. Trust me people and the agents are taking care of them.

I don't understand how people think they can force themselves into a country and demand America to take care of you. Haitians are always telling the US to stay out of Haitian business . Haiti needs to start caring for their citizens.
