well, a kasrkin squad w/ a priest is nearly as strong as a WS squad, stronger if fanaticism is used. But kasrkins are capped at 1 and take up 3 pop cap. And yeah, the attachment of priests and commissars shifts the battle tremendously in the IG favor. That's why IG are one of the best races for experts, b/c they're micro-intensive.

Do people agree w/ me that Flash Gitz are an overrated ranged unit? They definitely are

@TheArchon300 Yeah, it all depends on the situation.. Every unit has weaknesses and strengths and different tactics. For example, I had 3 guardsmen squads each with a priest attached to them and upgraded with plasma guns they were jumped by 3 squads of warp spiders.. My priests used fanatacism and killed all the warp spiders and emerged unscathed. And warp spiders can't have a commander attached to them.

Not true. Seer Councils in DoW II are maybe like Ork Nobs without commander concerning hp and defense and can be killed way easier than they should. Plus they have lower damage than Nobs, cannot be upgraded, have only one ability (speed) and need maybe the longest time of all units to reinforce. They're not even worth their money now. Their only use is to guard your army at the front - alone they are useless.
In DoW I they rocked. ^^

Aside from the elite melee squads, I agree. Possesseds also break morale really fast though and move much faster. Banshees come after the flayed ones, ever tried them against assault marines or khorne berserkers?

Nah, flayed ones are best meelee unit, cause you can drop them anywhere, and especially load them up in a restored monolith, teleport that mono right next to an enemy base drop the flayed ones off from the squad hold and viola instant win just about...

The Eldar got nerfed in DOW2 b/c in DOW1, they were the best race in the game. Their seer councils are the best melee unit and their banshees, when upgraded, crush any other melee unit aside form flayed ones and elite melee units. Also, their warp spiders are kick-ass, defeating all ranged units 1 v 1 except terminators. Lets not even get to their vehicles.

So they had to be nerfed.

On the other hand, chaos got beefed up big time in DOW2. Even regular chaos marines kill Assasult marines.

@KlownStyleZZ No, you just don't know how to use them properly. You can't just do attack move across the map in DoW2, you have to rush, flank, micro, etc. Howling Banshees only have 675 HP but their really fast so you flank with them and go straight for their marines, termagaunts, or guardsmen, and then have your guardians kite their commander, and your commander can destroy their melee units, etc. Its a much more tactical game than DoW1.

This is partially true.

Nobz are the strongest melee unit squad vs squad.
Seer council is the best melee unit. They are cheaper than nobz, only take up 2!! squad cap vs most elite squads' 3 and are resistant to ranged damage.

Terminators are the strongest ranged unit when given assault cannons.
Warp spiders are the best ranged unit. They only take up 2 squad cap vs gitz' 3 and have anti-vehicle bombs. And on top of these adv., they also defeat gitz squad vs squad

Lol. As depicted in ur comment about the Nobz, ur bringing up the *strongest* units. Strongest doesn't mean "best, " u have to take into account cost and squad cap. WSpiders are the best ranged unit in the game b/c they only take up 2 squad cap and are capped at 3 while termies are capped at 1 and take up 3 squad cap.

The Nobz would win...That does not make Nobz better than seer councils by the way. A nob squad takes up 22 ork pop out of 100, that's roughly 4 squad cap, and they cost way more than a squad of seer councils. Seer councils only take up 2 squad cap, like all eldar squads, which is a great asset to the eldar late game when resources are high. Heck, most elite melee squads take up 3 squad cap, pariahs 4.

Lastly, seer councils have high morale and more resistant to ranged damage.

Pariahs don't kill even one ceer council. While, assault terminators kill the 3 ceer councils. And, one assault terminator can win the one pariah!
Youtube have one video about 'assault terminators vs pariahs', But, assault terminators lose the pariah.... How pariahs can win the assault terminators???
I don't understand!!
