I did undergrad at York - mathematics and Masters at LSE. To be honest much preferred York. London is a great city to work in but is souless for students. York is a student city and great teaching - certainly lacked that by many lecturers at LSE. I had friends at Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh and Durham and they are very much student cities, where you feel part of everything. You lose that feeling at LSE after lecture when you hit the tube - really a London thing so same with been a student at any of those universities. Playing tennis and golf at York was something I missed at LSE - been on a campus. Could I have got into my derivatives trading role at my investment bank without LSE - yes. However, was only 1 year, they has great postgrad recruitment network and still did acquire more knowledge in Finance, plus have a Masters degree. Culture for postgrad among my class was amazing - was introduced by a friend for a role but had already secured my role. Was supportive and have great contracts in the city to call. Would I recommend LSE for undergrad - no, not for me. For postgrad is ok for just 1 year. Good luck with your careers. I know a lot of people who have left investment banking for education - teaching next generation is probably one of most rewarding things you can do and for society.

I feel like administration problems is always a big issue for UK universities. I was in KCL for undergrad and the admin was disastrous lmao.

However - LSE has some online certificate etc - So tell me is the online 8 week course worth it or helps in any way to improve the resume or chance to gain better jobs or an admisison into a top Mba Admission in other universities or US or europe top schools or even into LSE and is it a good learning frankly ? And can yiu guess what It costs ? It is high and almost 120 pounds or 1, 20, 000 Rs or in dollars it is $1500. it has the same topics like politica and bit if econimics and POLicy etc .. so is it WORTH it and recognised anywhere

Similarly imperial etc have online courses too ..do they really help or are worth anything or taught properly and worthy to show it in your resume ? Good to get your honest feedback
