'SYNAPSE II' (Demon) by KowZ, ILRELL, Darwin & more | Geometry Dash 2.11

I can't say I really remember the prequel to this at all, even though I apparently beat it. Looking at a video, it might be because it was one of many forgettable 2.0 levels. It didn't really do anything special, and few parts stand out in terms of quality. This has much higher quality overall, which is what you'd expect from a sequel over 4 years later, but that quality is quite inconsistent. It features many older creators from the prequel, but also quite a few new ones, making for a cool mix of styles. The level is not cohesive at all, though, with most parts just doing something random. Most parts opt for some effect stuff, while others are more art or modern. The colors are also completely random. It's still a pretty cool level if you don't think too much about it and just enjoy each part separately, and the gameplay isn't too bad. This will probably be a Featured Medium Demon because of its length.

Honestly, the randomness of every part is what i love of this collab, it's not something of everyday where you see a collab that doesnt have clear theme of color pallete, and yet, it still looks amazing.

Glad we managed this to be done before 2021. Even if it's not one of the best works (in terms of gp and deco), overall everyone made a good job. I'm also glad that I came with this idea of making a sequel to the first Synapse with ilrell's help. :)

Every part is really nice, although I’d say the one exception to this would be Abstract Dark’s part, which made for a weird start to the level in my opinion. But the effects at the drop are insane, and super well executed. I also completely agree that too many parts are random compared to the rest.

I remember 3 years ago when Kowz helped me out building a part in a megacollab full of random people and just like 2 famous name still he did his job and didn't even asked me I'm sorry that the project got canceled but he proved he has a big heart

The level has flaws? Of course, but I think it is a level that should not be overlooked. A level that is mostly effects, something rare these days, and that SYNAPSE II brings together great creators of current effects such as: Darwin or Zoroa and other veterans such as AbstracDark or KowZ, makes the level shine by itself.
