As a vegan AND an Alaskan native (Tlingit tribe) I don’t appreciate her using my people to justify her ignorance

Mind blowing that she calls veganism white colonialism and then begins to appropriate indigenous culture to justify her actions.

I think she is so angry because she actually knows he is completely right about everything he says...

Imagine being shouted at for 20 minutes and keeping cool. Astounding.

Her: “veganism is a white, colonial trend!”
Me, a Chinese vegan, whose culture has included meat substitutes and naturally vegan dishes for thousands of years: “aight I’mma head out”

Girl!! Do not drag indigenous people into this so you feel good about your bad choices. We don't need a spokesperson, we can speak for ourselves, I am indigenous and vegan.

He doesn't want her to feel guilty. She just quite literally feels guilty and is projecting him as the source when really she's being faced with her own morality.

This whole thing was brutal to watch but never underestimate the power of a seed.

"Kill them Halal." "What does Halal mean?" "I don't know."
Hahahaha.
It's amazing that you can't possibly think this conversation can get worse and it just...does...

“you’re trying to make me feel guilty”

She’s grasping at so many straws that she can practically clean the ocean.

Her mind and heart were closed from the moment she sat down. She wasn't gonna budge one bit. Eds patience and compassion is incredible 💚🐷🪨

Her "I gotta go" can easily be translated as "I tried by all means to win the argument (and that includes the appropriation of indigenous culture) and I don't want to acknowledge you are right like an stable adult would".

Veganism is white ? I am a black woman raised by vegan parents. I have never put dairy or meat in my mouth. She has no solid argument. She was struggling. Thank you for this very interesting interview. 💚🌱

This girl actually proposes the idea that treating animals with respect means killing them. I am just astounded by the mind-acrobatics she's doing.

I swear this girl won't be satisfied until an indigenous tribe flies over to America to thank her personally for being the voice they never asked for. :')

She wasn’t there for a debate, she was just there to talk around circles.

Honestly, I have more respect for people who just say, "I lke the taste of steak" than people who cartwheel through these absurd hoops to try and gain the moral highground.

I'm indigenous and vegan, I can still eat traditional foods that we make even though sometimes I adjust them but I am not losing out on anything by not harming animals. Especially if it is not your culture, don't use it to justify your bad decisions.

This is one of the mostcembarrasing interviews ever. I envy Ed's patience. My sarcasm level was rising too high, very quick even I wasn't even there on spot! Respect Ed!
