Coach of the Year in my book. I can tell this loss bothered him, and I like that. It was smart to rest the starters, but he still expected to win. No one’s checked out.

Every coach including LaFleur has their own opinion on winning and losing. Lions’ week 18 victory over the Packers didn’t necessarily bother me since I knew they would overcome their struggles and beat against all odds such as the no. 1 seed Packers. But yeah, I agree with LaFleur no matter what. He believes losing crucial or meaningless games doesn’t gain momentum for the team. Fortunately, the Packers’ key players did not suffer injuries and Jordan Love had some action going in the second half despite ending on a bad note with two interceptions. We’ll see how the defense, Aaron Rodgers, and Jordan Love will regroup in the future.

The quote Lefleur made about "winning" was reminiscent of another great Packer coach! The Packer coach who's name is on the Super Bowl Trophy! Here's hoping Lefleur can have 1/2 the career of the great Vince Lombardi.
