Algoritm FM Synthesizer Demos & First Impression Algortim Review

In this video, I show off a bunch of demos of Reason Studio's new FM Synthesizer, Algoritm. These Algoritm demos show off some of the power of this new synth. I also give a quick review of Algoritm and an overview of how to use it.

Heres what makes Algoritm unique, according to Reason Studios, "With nine operator slots that you can connect any way you want, Algoritm takes FM synthesis to a new level. Classic FM operators are at the heart of Algoritm, but each slot can also house a wavetable oscillator, shaper, or filter for a wealth of both familiar and new sounds. This is an instrument designed to make it fun and easy to explore the world of FM, a type of synthesis known for being unapproachable and obtuse for anyone but the most invested."

Im yet tro try out algoritm yet and it looks v cool. Will save time on all my crazy routing with multiple thors haha!

As much as I moan about reason not being improved as a daw.. It its still highly under rated as a music tool and I think I need to start biging it up to people again as it does truly excel at some things!

Same here... I'm waiting for Reason 12 before deciding what to do next. I need to upgrade (I'm on 9). I'm not paying a subscription until I have 12. Then, if I feel like it's worth it, then I can try Reason+ but can cancel and still have R12.

Great video as usual bud. Quick question. You mentioned In the video that you sometimes licence your music. Can you tell me where you can upload your music to get it licenced?

Well thanks for the review, I was especially waiting for your take on it. I agree with your thoughts on the pricing, it is a bit steep, but what it has made me look into more are the possibilities of what the Complex-1 is capable of, which I think with more time I will be able to cover a lot of the bases that I want to hear in the meantime.
Let's see what reason 12 has to offer, though I'm happy enough with Complex-1 in Suite.

I could see that brass patch being easily used in some type of neo-psychedelia Beatles type tune. 11:40 evokes an early Genesis vibe albeit with updated sound quality. (I'm a Mellotron fan). NI's FM synth is still my go-to though there is certainly room for other FM synths. And outside of FM there remains Absynth which, due to its age, people sleep on to their own peril as it still has great sounds. Still eagerly awaiting Reason 12.

In my opinion, this is overrated. The presets can easily be remade in subtracted and maelstrom. It doesn’t really attract me.
