Space Boyfriends character was a concept created by Jami Lynne, who composed a lot of the games soundtrack (Including this song!!). before Omori, Jami, at the time she was known as Space Boyfriend (and as of 2017 she has now rebranded to Clover & Sealife) created a mini chiptune album titled “Bug Spray (Never Give Up), ”
Space Boyfriend's special mixtape melody is ripped from one of the songs on the album titled “Bug Spray"
Adding onto that, it says that the name of Space Boyfriends mixtape is titled “I Want Nothing More” and the first line of Jami’s song “Bug Spray” is “I want nothing more than to be with you” :3

The sad thing is that I played OMORI with a friend that I don’t talk to anymore that I really liked and this was my fav song from the game. The only time I played OMORI was with him. Whenever I think of OMORI I think of him so I cry because I miss him. So if I listen to this song I cry.

Remember that one part in Deep Well? Well, I stayed there, the ENTIRE TIME he was singing, i'm serious, I didn't know you could go away, I was devastated once I found out I could move. I stood there for about almost an hour, AN HOUR! I was confused because I thought it took that long, because there wasn't an indication for if I was able to move or not.

This is not a hate comment, but it would be nice to add in the next patch. I f***ing love -air conditioners- this game.

The fact that this song is the main leitmotif shared throughout Otherworld, and you realize the culmination of the whole area is Spaceboy singing out his grief. It goes from a wonderfully catchy space melody, to a happy couple's with Venus's Earthbound singing, to a nostalgic and sorrowful lament that creates this perfect longing feeling, the confession this song gives. Hell it even feels like a cry of grieving anger instead Spaceboy's battle themes, You Were Wrong, Go Back, and even more haunting in You Cannot Go Back.
It genuinely feels like what a great love song would be in this game's world, and is utilized so perfectly in every instance it's used to summarize both Spaceboy and Sweetheart's relationship, and the themes of nostalgia and loss that encompass Headspace and Omori as a whole.

I always liked this song. I thought it was perfect for the game and Space BF's arch. I also just loved how it sounded. I think I'll always be nostalgic about this song.
