Video Recorded on October 12, 2022: This will be a take on the Otis elevators at the Marriott Marquis Hotel that opened in late 2016. I came here to do a much better/updated/replacement take on both these elevators and the high-rise ones because my first video of them did not perform well. For personal reasons, I don't want to talk about what happened, so let's just get on with this video. Anyways, these are a whole set of Otis Gen2 MRL traction elevators. I do apologize for pressing the 16th floor during the first ride because I did not know there was a 17th floor as I haven't been back here in several ages since the first time, and I was also exhausted when filming this video because I've had a long day in school before coming downtown. Installed in 2016.

I filmed these back in January 2020 and haven't been back here since. I'll be planning on revisiting within the next 3 months.

I was going to say is 17 locked? But then you just didn't notice the button for the 17th floor.

BTW, at 1:11 when the gen2s sound like that, I think it just needs to be greased. Nothing is wrong with the elevator, but I am guessing the belts that move the elevator up and down are making that friction sound

I’ve actually gotten stuck in these before.

I’m pretty sure these are OTIS Series 7 Elevators according to the elevator community.

this is why modern OTIS quality for installs are down the drain these days. M2/M4 mods aren't that bad, but not all are great either
