As you see the stone giant does 20 damage if summoned from mod
And does 40 damage when summoned from spell
So yeah he's basically powerful than griffon even though costing 700 gems less

Final boss theory :he supposed to be a minion from a magikill but he is scared to die because of seeing he's kind dieing in the war and then he left the battle then he got taken by a necromancer and turned him into a giant that is secretly stronger than griffon..
