I think manages is 1:m with department table on the many side rather than 1, as 1 employee can mange more than one department but many employees can't manage one department. That's why we can merge the manage relationship into the department table (many side).

at 23:50, why not relational table b and c include the fk of a1?? as in the front of this video u mentioned that you put the primary key of the n side to the 1side

you said in 1 to m, modify table on 1 side. My query is if 50 emp belong to same dep then it increase the redundancy. So I think many side table should be modified.
