 I love Carl Thompson fights.He was a rock of a man.

I'm amazed Rothmann managed to get his his feet after that, he got absolutely obliterated with the right. I nearly smashed a hole in the ceiling when I jumped off off the bed watching this live too!

I saw this fight when I was young. It was great. Rothman was battering Thompson, and then by some miracle Thompson, almost out on his feet, found that devastating KO to stop Rothman. Thompson did a similar thing to a young David Haye if I recall. Except Haye was stopped by his own corner when the towel was thrown in. I think that's right. It's so long ago now I could be wrong about the ending. But I'm sure Thompson was beaten all around the ring by Haye until Carl fought back and stopped, David. Carl, was a great fighter. I was a big fan of his and made a point of watching his fights. Some say the reason he was called 'The Cat' was because of his great agility. Others say, it was because Carl was like a cat with nine lives; always coming back from the brink of death/defeat and winning. But the real reason Carl was called 'The Cat' was because, like a cat, he liked to bury his own shit in the back garden.

I thought he sure holds his hands low. He was overconfident because he was battering thompson and got caught. It ain't over until it's over.
