Steve just sits there silently and watches all the guys tear into Bayonetta. “Yes.” In Bayonetta’s defense, who wouldn’t want a reality warping, master of PvP, master builder, strong yet silent, sounds good to me?

But if Steve respawns like immediately after dying, that means he has been sitting inside Bayonetta's room for nearly a year without doing anything. Not a single time did he think "Hmm, let's go outside and see what the hub-bub is about" until this moment.

Given how Steve will sleep in any bed regardless if it's his or not, there is high possibility that he's taken power naps in multiple fighter's beds, with Bayonetta's just happening to be the last. However, she found out about this, and immediately realized how sketchy it would look
