Let's have a look into the latest rankings of the world's best-connected airports. Surprisingly, Heathrow Airport has dropped out of the top 10, landing in 12th place! Even though it's still the UK’s busiest airport, it’s been overtaken in terms of the number of destinations served. Gatwick isn’t far behind either, sitting in 14th place. We'll also take a look at which airports made it to the top 10, with Istanbul Airport claiming the number one spot. Stick around to find out where your favorite airport ranks this year!

Doesn’t need to be London has another five airports it is a distributed load rather than a concentrated one….

Same reason New York isn’t in top 10. We have more airports. We have a number of airports rather than just one big one. Simples

Yet London still has Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton all within 45 minutes, from the middle of the city by train and less than an hour by road. Gatwick has many long-haul flights, Stansted is a low-cost hub as is Luton. City airport is 20 minutes from the middle, and Heathrow is 20 minutes from Paddington. So, there is no point in this post, as London has plenty of options. Edit Stansted has plenty of ramps available to take any extra flights, yet is on 30 million passengers a year.

The deeper thing I feel like we’re not ready to address is why some of our fellow black people sell out. There’s an African saying that “the child who isn’t embraced by its village will burn it down to feel its warmth”. The way we as Black people treat each other, especially those who differ from the cultural norms in some ways has been very abhorrent. Reasons as to why I hate the label “corny”. God forbid I was a black person who ended up disliking Rap and RnB, not eating meat or melon and who’s preferred classical music - I’d get flamed in spaces where I’m meant to feel safe.

That’s been an experience for a lot of Black people, especially Black men, which is why we have issues with colourism, class warfare, thugmaxxing, suburbs vs hood (ends if you’re LDN raised like me). If you’ve been at the bottom of the totem pole in terms of a social hierarchy for a prolonged period of time, you would do anything to get yourself out of that situation.

I see this whole “Authenticity” trend being pushed out on social media these days. In some ways, it’s genuine, but in many ways, it’s weaponised to prevent people from re-inventing themselves and to try and keep people in a box. You can’t belittle certain groups of people within your own community growing up, then be mad at them when they don’t stand by you years later. Why would they?! There’s literally no incentive for them.

With that being said, I HEAVILY AGREE with the majority of the video, Michael Rubin had NO RIGHT to talk on the black community as it simply was NOT HIS PLACE. But there were some silver linings in his statements. I agree with your take on Meek Mill, Drake and Jay Z.

Don’t think anyone can be shocked by that because as of today LHR has 157 weekly connections to jfk and flies all around the uk…. A lot of departures but no destinations

Istanbul airport has the most confusing and inefficient layout ever. And worse, the staff don’t help and are super rude.
