Great looking car, I just wish they would redesign the grill and front slightly to incorporate a place for a license plate that doesn’t look like it’s just slapped on the grill.

beautiful car, it is very well balanced, but I feel that it lacks an interior with ambient lighting and I would replace the aluminum material that is in the doors and the center console with a carbon fiber, for the rest an amazing car.

What's the concern about having to do some sort of "special wash" on this paintjob? Is it a one-time/first time wash/sealant/protective thingee....or constant? Could you please elaborate?

Same Mill. Wish they would update the 3.3 or at least boost it to 425hp stock. Also needs a more aggressive exhaust. Nice car. Will consider.

I have a 2018 Stinger GT2@ AWD Limited with the same 3.3L twin-t (same hp and torque) - and one major styling difference I notice between the Stinger and G70 is a noticeable flare on the rear fender that gives it a slightly more muscular stance. I prefer the front grill and headlight design on the Stinger, as well as the backend design. I also like the design of the side ventilation grills on the Stinger more (not the blacked out versions on the Genesis). Interesting that you say the G70 feels a little more nimble - I haven't driven the Gen so I don't have a comparative basis...maybe it's just a subjective observation perhaps? Great review, tho. Both are excellent cars for the price point.

I have to be honest, I don't like the refresh. It doesn't appeal to me aesthetically.

First, that crest grille is yuck. The split headlamps are inelegant (they should stretch around much further). The pre-refresh G70 looked much better.

And I miss the fog lamps.

Second, I like that the pre-refresh G70 could be mistaken for a Bentley or Aston Martin. Borrowing aesthetic sensibilities from other brands is a Good Thing.

Third, the rear end of the refreshed G70 is butt ugly (pun intended). The pre-fresh G70 looked much better.

Fourth, the refreshed gauge cluster, which is half physical and half digital, is unappealing. Make it all-physical or all-digital but *don't* do half and half. (The blind spot imaging could've been placed in the center display.)

Fifth, I liked the boomerang side vents on the pre-refresh G70. They gave the car a unique look. The refreshed G70 loses that uniqueness and could be mistaken for any other Genesis model.

The 2022 G70 is still an excellent vehicle but it'll never get the same kind of love from me as in the pre-refresh G70.

I dunno why but the matte paint just has a cheap look, I’ve always felt like it does regardless of what car it’s on. The G70 is a nice addition from Genesis, but it’s no StingerGT. I’ve sat in both, and I’d still take the StingerGT hands down even over this refresh.
