A Spotlight on Cheap Krautrock Albums - The Exploito Scene

Among the vast amounts of well known, obscure and very expensive German, or krautrock, bands and albums there are a lot of cheap budget releases which can be bought for next to nothing. We are talking about the budget exploito scene which was common practise as well in the UK and the US.
Here's a quick guide through the jungle of Schlager Parade, Tanz Hits,Hammond Hts and Dance Party records to find some of the hidden treasures. Stay tuned for some German gold nuggets!

Hi Nico, Hey I bought a copy of the new Baby Grandmothers album entitled: Merkurius. It was released one month ago. Listening to it now. Excellent, you need it. Side two goes prog with a heavy electronic space rock jam called "Kraftverk"  I got a Swedish pressing of it. You can find tracks off the album on You Tube as well as reunion live footage. Cool...

Hi Nico. Great idea for a video! Those albums all sound good. Those Electric Food sound killer. The Bokaj and chapparell seem to be higher in price though- people must be getting to know how good they are. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for these. Cheers. Alan

Well, I have a reissue of one of those albums. I have the Bokaj Retiem.  Seems to me when I was doing research on it I was informed that the label Fass is pronounced Face. Unless you know that to be wrong?  Very interesting to see an OG copy.  Loved seeing these sub genre Krautrock albums and you have a nice collection for sure. Most of the low budget exploitation albums that came out in the US are just bad. But a few of them are good, The Firebirds is amazing Hard n Heavy rock. Thanks for doing this one, very informative.

Now how did you hear of these titles or do you just take chances on these when discovering these hidden treasures? Electric Food sound great and very interesting they turned into Lucifers Friend. yes Nico for this video the impeccable sound, but since 3 or 4 videos I have had no sound at all, I don’t know why, i found in november mad dog usa 617 album, steel mill, psychedelic undergound bokaj retsiem, armageddon original a&m, camel under age u-k psyche not same band latimer, atlantis same, grupa stress great polish hard-rock, sex same canada hard-psyché, pirana ll australie prog, young flowers n 2, and other lp, come back soon nico friendly !!!

Here in Australia there's no chance of even seeing any of those albums, if I did stumble across one I can guarantee it wouldn't be cheap.
So it's online only and even if I find them for a decent amount once I add shipping they're far from cheap.
For an Aussie that collects Psych there's no such thing as cheap
