I appreciate the information that you share in this video A LOT! I'd find it even more helpful if there wasn't music in the background.

Thank you so much for spending the time to create your excellent video. I was also looking for a way to alter various visual representations of chord symbols, mostly the diminished chords. Dorico is a fab program, however coming from Sibelius 7 - it takes some getting used too. That being said - Dorico is FAR easier and much more user friendly and I will stay with this for the long term.

Thank you SO MUCH for this. I'm finishing up my first big band chart in Dorico and this video saved the day! Much appreciated.

Wow, thanks for the great video. You saved me time converting my Finale projects to Dorico. I like your video presentation style. I don't think your background music is too distracting since it is not too loud.

Great tipps! thank you!. To select all chord symbols, you can select one an use the shortcut for Select All (Shift+Option+A) twice (the first time all the chord symbols in the system will be selected, the second time all the chords symbols in the flow will be selected) ;-) (opps, I noticed that this was already being suggested yesterday)

ENjoyed the video - I am from Finale and struggling with Dorico in some ways - The fonts for the chord symbols is confusing to me, especially when I have tried to create a template of these fonts to be used with all my lead sheets - I have to re-do it - doint something wrong. Also - notes seem to 'bounce off' if I try to type in lyrics - don't know why again.I am a jazz voice teacher and pianist - so I need to transpose these songs on lead sheets for my students. Thanks for not rushing thru your explanations. . some of the folks in Dorico speed thru the explanations so fast it is almost impossible for me to understand them, . Thanks to you again.

Thank you sir! Question regarding chord symbols. Might there be a way in Dorico to create a page full of, let's say, only "guitar chord names and diagrams" while hiding all other elements.... including staves and clefs with their associated lines and time signatures. Think along the lines of a guitar chord dictionary like Mel Bay or something similiar? I would love to know if this is possible and the steps to make it happen!

at 6:50, you say that you can unlink the chords but I searched everywhere and I can't find a way to unlink them. I want to put a specific chord to an instrument but not the others and I don't know how to unlink the chords. Thank you!

Great video, thank you! (May I suggest to don't have the continuous background music?: it distracts and make looking at the video a little more difficult).

If you select one chord symbol and then use the select more (Shift Cmd A) then you can select just chords

Hi. I'm a long time Finale user. A complete beginner in Dorico.Recently, I've been creating mostly Lead Sheets. I checked out your video, which is helpful and interesting, to see how to most quickly enter chords. I didn't see this in this video. Do we have to select the chord tool each time we add a chord? Or is there a way to put Dorico into 'chord mode' as if selecting the chord tool? Thanx!

This info was truly valuable for a new user like me. One quick question: when you make changes to the way a chord symbol displays, say from F-7 to Fmi7, is that a local change to just that score? ... or is it a global change, which will affect every new score you create? Thx!

Good tutorial but please turn down the music so we can focus on the information....

Yes - please let mne know about how you arrange the zoom lessons - I also am having a problem when I transpose a lead sheet song. It is basically correct, but some of the chord symbols don't end up right - mostly with the dominant seventh being a problem - it omits the 7th completely, especially like on a chord C7#5 . . . it will just eliminate the 7th in the transposed key. I have tried to set everything up as the tutorials dictate, but to no avail. Since I work with singers, this a feature that is very important to me. . . Please let me know how to get together with you on Zoom in a Class and how payment is arranged. THX!

Thank you so much. If I want to write a repeat sign of 1 bar, instead of a chord symbol, on the same spot, above the staff, how do I do that? Thanks in advance.

where is the Preferences setting you mentioned a couple of times? Also - when tutorials talk about Engrave - they mean first "Library", then engrave, yes? (2). When you go thru those chord symbols and choosing caps or lower case, etc. and then you save the changes to default, does that mean those changes are only for that current document? or any new project I attempt? I also prefer the font "Petaluma" for my jazz lead sheets - anything I should know about that? Depending on your fee, I would be interested in a Zoom Session on Chord Font Setup, etc. . . thank you . . . laughingface
