Jhené Aiko had made this song out of respect and love for her brother, who had passed away in 2012 due to cancer...
Fast forward one year, and Jhené had been involved in a car accident, while she had her older sister, boyfriend and daughter in the car. Fortunately enough she was the only one to sustain injuries that were classified as minor.

In a way, this song embodies the phenomenon of gratefulness. I can only imagine what she must have felt after this all settled. After a human being suffers tragedy, the idea of being fortunate for everything you have still comes to mind much more often.  Its a beautiful thing.  This song is a masterpiece.

I felt like this is the song you would listen to after you die, while you're ascending into Heaven. Many artists lately only sing song while they're audience either dance or sing to them. However, Jhene puts so much feeling in her songs, and she makes you feel them as well. She's basically telling us to think of the positive moments in life that other artists fail to tell us.

This song reminds me that life is beautiful. I was diagnosed with cancer halfway through college and went through a 2 1/2 year battle of rounds of chemo and surgeries. I drove away my high school girlfriend of more than 4 years out of frustration and fear. But by the grace of God, I was healed. I later met a woman who gave me the greatest gift ever, my only child. After 17 years, we divorced. I probably went through some depression. Months later, I crossed paths with my high school sweetheart, and we rekindled the love of our youth. She and my daughter have a great relationship, better than I could have imagined, and I am reminded that even though I have suffered many highs and lows, I am truly blessed. A song like this tells me that one should focus on striving for what's positive, and taking what is deemed as negative as learning experiences, and life can be wonderful. Use those experiences for the betterment of yourself, those you care about, and even people you don't know. Tell someone right now that you love them and you will feel the change, both within yourself and in the world around you.
