Welcome to the Dame Shirley Bassey Archive for 1975.
The images are in chronological order to the best of my knowledge.
1975 begins with Dame Shirley Bassey in Australia for a tour, a cover story for both TV/Life mag and Music Plus mag, while the release of The Shirley Bassey Singles Album goes gold, as a US tour unfolds. A single for Good, Bad, But Beautiful. Summer Holidays in Sardinia before a performance on Howard Cosell's Saturday Night Live. Another Carnegie Hall appearance and then a tour of Japan, before the album Good, Bad, But Beautiful is released.
The year ends with concerts in Amsterdam and Paris, a French TV special and finally a Uk TV special to round out the year.

I have been collecting Dame Shirley for over 45 years and have digitised my entire collection by date from newspapers, magazines, photos, programs, sheet music and of course the music.
I hope this series of videos will help tell Dame Shirley's story in a lineal way for fans new and old.
As a child whenever I found a photo of Dame Shirley I would wonder what the story behind the picture was, and I still do. I would cut out news clippings and put together multiple scrapbooks,
then the internet came along and an explosion of knowledge. Now I know some of the stories behind many of the photos and hope you get enjoyment in finding these stories too.

If you have a newspaper clipping, review or any other item that would expand the story please let me know. Dating items is a tricky process but I have tried as best I can to get the timeline correct.

Fantastic montage of Shirley at a brilliant point of her decades long legendary career still going, thankfully went yearly early 70's-80's to Shirley Bassey concerts always sold-out events too many times to count, those days should have gone on forever...
