A mystic priest and a bounty hunter mechanic set off on a search for the missing instructions to build a device that will reverse the course of history on a decrepit world whose once-rich ore has been totally depleted.

Rules overwhelm and confusion ensue as I get into and out of solo GM trouble a few times...

I'll admit it, I had to laugh a little when I got to this chapter in your book. Reading about you having a little trouble with the setting was refreshing and vindicating, I ended up designing my own Space Western setting and running a few Starfinder campaigns in that because I found the Pact Worlds setting to be uninteresting at best and an insulting bait and switch at worst. After about seven years of fighting with the system and a toxic community, I moved on. Though I might keep it in mind to support Grimmerspace.

I thought I was a weirdo for playing my RPGs solo these days. If I am a weirdo, I guess I'm not alone! In all seriousness, I like your channel and am devouring the content. :)

Your channel is just so much fun to me. I started my journey into gaming recently with a few games like 4 against darkness. And I know that is not an rpg, but more dungeon crawling. However, the narrative that automatically formed in my imagination while playing it got me wanting more. More tables, effects, chacracter creation and mostly more story. So I'm trying to figure out where to go from here. This was very inspiring. It's also nice that you chose Starfinder, I really like a good space theme. I think the book looks beautiful and I've been eyeing it for a while now, wondering if this world might be something to invest my (preciously little) free time into. Can't wait for more videos and thanks again!

This is an interesting concept. I had no idea there was somebody doing this with such a professional take. I think your tutorial video could be useful to regular GMs as well, for when one needs to test monsters, campaign scenes, concepts etc. before using them on your players.
Also love your editing work!

Love the comments throughout the video. Just got the sfdr rulebook, and I am looking forward to take it for a solo spin.

Have you explored Traveller? It is Avery robust system that dates back to the 70’s

You mentioned this was early morning play, I would’ve interpreted the typo as latte not letter😊

Do you have a Patreon or something similar fans can contribute to? This is one of the best YT channels I've ever come across. Such unique content and approach to solo RPGs (and beyond).

Hum.
This is gonna be useful video, as I am planning on making an animated series out of Starfinder solo adventurers… 🤔

Starfinder is such an aweful game that completely fails at sci-fi.

If you're going to spend the effort to solo a sci-fi game, you should use a good game like Traveller or the Alien RPG.

Those games have mechanics that actually capture the feel of sci-fi and aren't just a badly reskinned version of D&D.
